Pneumatic-Hydraulic Power Units are used on welding tools and lines,
or on equipment in general where devices or tools need to be moved
and positioned.
Also referred to as Swinging Pneumatic-Hydraulic Power Units, they
can be supplied standard in either vertical or horizontal versions,
with three main opening angles, 45° - 90° - 135° for
vertical models or 45° - 90° - 120° for horizontal models.
Different angles can be supplied to meet customer requirements.
There are two types of Pneumatic-Hydraulic Power Unit: the first
has a 100 mm-bore pneumatic cylinder, whereas for the second there
are three bore sizes – 125, 160 and 200 mm.
The hydraulic part regulates the functioning of the pneumatic cylinder
by means of its own internal circuit and so ensures stable motion.
Each unit is supplied with a safety feature, a hydraulic fuse in
the circuit that, in the event of a pressure drop on the pneumatic
feed, immediately blocks the unit without causing damage to tools.
As opposed to the GR version the RC version uses a hydraulic system
inside the pneumatic cylinder piston rod to enable control of movement
of the load applied. Thanks to this system, a constant, even speed
can be maintained during transport of the mass, so avoiding brusque
movements and violent collisions at the end of the stroke.
